REDD Plus Project director Mohammad Arif, Divisional Forest Officer Shaukat Fiaz, and ecologists Anwar Ali and Ejaz Ahmad were all present at the occasion.
The pilot project is a collaborative effort of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government, and will help monitor greenhouse gas emissions caused by deforestation.
