Lahore: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General Muhammad Ali Randhawa and Lahore Commissioner have reactivated the scrutiny committee for approval of private housing schemes in the city, according to news published on March 13.

As per the details, the purpose of the committee is to bring transparency to the approval process of the housing schemes. It was mentioned that the private housing societies will have to go through a comprehensive process of scrutiny to obtain approval. The news source disclosed that the scrutiny committee will comprise officials from Metropolitan Planning and Additional DG Housing. The committee will submit its report to the Chief Metropolitan Planner after scrutinising it for final approval. After that, the chief metropolitan planner will forward its proposals to the relevant authority.

Moreover, the LDA Additional DG Housing will be the convener of the committee along with all metropolitan planning directors and deputy directors, Director Law, LDA, and assistant director as members.
