Quetta: The Balochistan government is looking to form a high-level committee to track work on a number of major development projects in the province, a news source reported. Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan Alyani will head the committee.
The provincial government announced its decision during a meeting held to review the development affairs of Balochistan. Chief Minister Alyani chaired the session. The attendees included several of the provincial ministers, the chief secretary and additional chief secretary of planning and development.

The meeting designated Additional Chief Secretary of Planning and Development Sajjad Ahmed Bhutta as the secretary for the committee. Other members will include the chief secretary, and the secretaries of the departments concerned.
Committees will also be set up on divisional levels to remove hurdles in the early completion of uplift schemes. The commissioners of each division will head the divisional committees.
