Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan on Sunday (October 23) formed a committee to oversee the timely completion of the land acquisition process for the construction of the 30-kilometre-long Dir Motorway, news sources reported.

The committee is entrusted with addressing land-related concerns in the project’s intended region. Furthermore, the participants were informed that, according to the preliminary allocation, the whole length of the Dir Motorway is 30 kilometres, with four lanes and two tunnels. Two highway tunnels will also be built, one in Dara Adamkhel and the other in the Karak area. In addition to this, the meeting also discussed the Peshawar-DI Khan Motorway project, which is 365-kilometres-long, with six lanes and 19 interchanges.

CM Mehmood emphasised on the occasion that his government’s objective is to provide amenities to citizens at any cost. He mentioned that the highway and road network is one of the efforts that would provide superior transportation services to the people.
