Islamabad: On Sunday, the Prime Minister (PM) formed a high-level committee to find solutions to problems faced by the citizens of Karachi, a news source reported. The members of the committee will propose short and long-term steps for ongoing development projects, and the cleanliness drive for the betterment of the city.
Committee members deliberated on problems such as sewerage, clean water supply, cleanliness, and a mass transport system. The PM has asked the committee to present its initial recommendations soon.

The PM Imran Khan expressed his disappointment in the condition of the city of Karachi. He said that the federal government would do anything in its power to assist in the resolution of the issues being faced by the citizens.

The Law Minister Dr Farogh Naseem has been appointed as head of the committee, while Planning and Development Minister Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar, Federal Maritime Affairs Minister Ali Zaidi, and Director General of the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) Major General Inam Haider Malik have been named members, among others.
