Located opposite Sector D-12 in Islamabad, the E-12 sector has been delayed for an extremely long time by the Capital Development Authority (CDA). According to a news source, the project was launched during the 70s, but the CDA is yet to take possession of the area and hand it over to investors.
More than 4,099 plots were sold by the CDA for Sector E-12, but there are no signs of development in the society, even after decades.
That being said, there finally seems to be some good news for plot allottees. A special subcommittee has been formed through the National Assembly which aims to resolve the land acquisition issues in Sector E-12.
Members of the subcommittee met CDA officials on Wednesday at the CDA headquarters, and discussed various issues plaguing the sector. The meeting was told that the housing project spans 777.3 acres and consists of six mouzas: Golra Sharif, Sari Saral, Bara Darri, Bhakkar Fateh Baksh, Bhakar Mohri, and Dharek Mohri.
Reportedly, the CDA has already compensated 1,200 locals by allotting alternate properties to them. Some were also given monetary compensation, but they are still not willing to vacate the area.
Surprisingly, some sale-purchase activity can still be seen in the locality.
The prices of different types of plots in Sector E-12 are as follows:

The prices of these plots are low when compared to other sectors that the CDA has developed. Even in Sector D-12, which is located in the same vicinity, prices are twice what plots in E-12 are valued at.
People are investing in Sector E-12 hoping that the civic authority will resolve the issues and start development work here sooner rather than later. Let’s see how the future unfolds for Sector E-12. Until then you can simply adopt a wait and see policy.

Its very depressing to see that people are waiting for the possession of their plots for the last 3 decades. My 70 yrs old mother is also waiting for her 4 Marla plot. CDA is showing an extremely lethargic attitude towards work.
CDA should immediately work on these stalled sectors. It will also help to vercome housing crisis in Islamabad. People are waiting for their plots in E-12 for more than 3 decades. Govt should instruct CDA to take quick action & immediately start the development work.
We are living abroad now awaiting so many years on an update on this sector. Hopefully this will change after more than 30 years of waiting! There seems to be an Facebook group giving status updates on this sector I would say follow it it’s called Islamabad- E12. Affectees.

I’m sorry but these are very mild old tactics. They won’t be effective. Unless Islamabad court with the help of police evacuate illegal occupants out of d-12 and immediately start development work. Once basic development is done, plots should be hand over to those who paid long long ago. Its time to take action, no chit chat time left.

The development of E-12 must start as soon as possible, it was just due to the corruption in CDA that development was still pending. If there is will there is a way. It is very humbly requested to the chairman CDA that please take action start the development work.

My life is going to end but i want make this for my children s .I requested to chairman CDA and fedral govment to start development inthis secter . this is very very long delay and this sector is for shameable for goverment ( state )
I was direct allotee through balloting in 1988 and since then dreaming to build house over there.
CDA should immediately take possession and start development work. Three decades is a very long time. Most of the plots in sector E-12 are of 4 Marala size, so mostly middle class people are suffering. Government or courts should intervene and resolve this problem. People are tired living in rented places and waiting for Thor plots for three decades
Is there any update about sector G-14 LAND ACQUISITION issue. Please help.
Is thee any update regarding the LAND ACQUISITION issue of sector G-14. Govt should instruct PHA to take quick action & immediately start the development work in the remaing sectors of G-14.
It is matter of extreme dis interest by the CDA & Federal Govt. that they don’t want to resolve this long standing issue.The people are right to understand that CDA is practically finished for Just.This Authority only exists for nothing.It should be remodulated and drastic steps must be taken in order to resove this very crucial issue.
Of course this is very painful for all the allot ties of E-12.I m also one of them…feeling hopeless and finding no way of future planning.My father is about to retire from CDA and we have no any alternate source of residence in Islamabad. Waiting for some miracle from Allah Almighty..May Allah decides best in our way…
