Gujranwala: A two-member fact finding committee has been formed to find out people involved in facilitating illegal construction activities in Industrial Estate-1, reported a news source. The directives were issued by Gujranwala Deputy Commissioner while he presided a high-level meeting. The meeting was attended by Gujranwala Development Authority Chairman Sheikh Amir Rehman, Revenue Additional Deputy Commissioner Kanwal Batool, Small Industries Regional Director Muhammad Ikram, Anti-Corruption Deputy Director Investigation Muhammad Qasim and Small Industries Estate 1 Board of Management Chairman Sheikh Muhammad Naseem.
The two-member fact finding committee comprises Anti-Corruption Deputy Director Investigation Muhammad Qasim and Gujranwala City Assistant Commissioner Tariq Hussain Bhatti. The fact finding committee will share its report on Monday about people responsible for facilitating illegal construction activities in the estate.
According to Small Industries Estate 1 Assistant Director Khalid Basra, the estate has 15 illegally constructed buildings and payments against these buildings haven’t been made to the government. Reportedly, an application to recover the dues from defaulters has also been submitted to the Anti-Corruption Department.
