At the meeting, the committee suggested that the old government houses must be razed and high-rise buildings must be constructed in their place. It was also decided that there must be a mechanism for the repair and maintenance of government houses. The lawmakers also ordered the CDA Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed to discuss the matter with housing and finance ministries and share the result with the committee.
Reportedly, the meeting also discussed Sector I-12. The CDA chairman disclosed that the full fledged development work on the sector will be started in July this year.
