Rawalpindi: Commissioner Muhammad Mahmood has directed the consultants for the Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR) project to submit their feasibility report and other documents till May 15 in order to expedite the approval process, a news source reported.

Addressing a meeting pertaining to development projects in the city, the commissioner gave the said directives to the RRR project consultants. In addition to the RRR project, the meeting also discussed the progress on the Leh Expressway, Urology Institute, Parking Plaza, and other projects in Rawalpindi.
Previously, the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has provided a notification with regard to land acquisition for the RRR project’s development.

Talking about the coronavirus lockdown, Commissioner Mahmood stated that the government was aware of the problems faced by traders and daily wagers. He added that it took the decision to reopen different sectors in a phase-wise manner. He added that this measure would soon help revive business activities and provide employment opportunities to labourers and daily wagers.
