Lahore: Lahore Commissioner Doctor Mujtaba Paracha has directed relevant officials to complete uplift projects on maintenance of roads, water filtration plants, and sewerage on priority, a news source reported.
The commissioner was chairing a meeting on the uplift projects. Director Development Tanveer Waraich, Deputy Director Muhammad Amjad, Assistant Director Sanam Siddique, and the development officers of all districts of the Lahore division attended the meeting.

On the occasion, the meeting reviewed the progress of development work on the 149 schemes under Community Development Programme.
In related news, Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has established a special committee to review the cost estimates of LDA’s construction projects. LDA Assistant Director General Urban Planning Rana Tikka Khan heads the committee.

LDA ADG along with officials of the engineering wing visited various roads under construction in Johar Town. The committee was informed that the cost of the 260-kilometre road connecting Wafaqi Colony and Mozang Chungi has been estimated at PKR 6 million, and will be funded through LDA’s budget.
