Multan: Multan Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shan-ul-Haq has directed the Metropolitan Corporation to submit details on the building plans approved between November 2019 and June this year, according to a news source report published on June 24. This data will facilitate the DC and his team in identifying the illegally-constructed developments in the city.

In addition to seeking these details, the commissioner directed the Multan Metropolitan Corporation (MMC) to crack down all such developments constructed against the approved building plans. Furthermore, he ordered the MMC to take legal action against builders and developers who have blocked roads by staking construction material at their project sites.
During his visit to the MMC office, Haq said that the one-window cell has been set up to facilitate the public so no delay will be tolerated, should any occur in attending to their applications regarding approval for building plans and change in the land-use status.

The MMC staff briefed the commissioner that out of the 879 applications received for building plans, it approved 746.
