Lahore: The Commissioner Lahore Division has approved building plans for 16 high-rise structures to be developed in the city — a news source reported.

According to the details available, these include the following:
- 7-storey auto showroom constructed over an area of 4 kanals on Queens Road in Data Ganj Bakhsh Zone
- 3-kanal commercial market in Ravi Zone
- 4-kanal apartment building in Aziz Bhatti Zone
- A double storey industrial warehouse spread over an area of 19 kanals in Allama Iqbal Zone
- 3 cattle shed dairy farms in Wahga Zone
- 8-kanal apartment building on Raiwind Road in Nishter Zone
- 16-kanal commercial marquee on Raiwind Road
- Nishat Mill and Delta Garments buildings in Dullu Khurd
At the same time, a decision was also made to delay the construction of 3 different apartment structures as the authorities concerned highlighted certain reservations that they had with their building layouts.

Reportedly, the authorities have recently been looking to boost construction of high-rises in the country — with the LDA even announcing its decision to increase height limits for developments in Lahore for this purpose.
