Islamabad: The commission formed for the revision of Islamabad’s Master Plan has decided to furnish a comprehensive guide report for the project consultant and the federal government before July 13, a news source reported.
The report will chalk out a broader-outline mechanism for the revision of the master plan. The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has yet to hire a consultant for making revisions in the master plan. For this purpose, it has decided to seek proposals from national and international firms.
The commission members, who recently met at the CDA headquarters in Islamabad, decided to issue advertisements on an immediate basis in order to hire the services of reputable firms. CDA Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed presided over the meeting.
Previously, the Ministry of Interior had directed the commission to get the request for proposal (RFP) vetted by the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA), which stated that it was not authorised to vet RFP documents.
