Faisalabad: The District Planning and Design Committee has approved the construction of several business outlets in the city – a news source reported.
Divisional Commissioner Asif Iqbal Chaudhry presided over a meeting of the said committee. Deputy Commissioner Sardar Saifullah Dogar, Additional Commissioners Rai Wajid Ali and Khadim Hussain Jillani, and other public officials concerned were also present.

The meeting approved the utilisation of a chunk of land for commercial activities. Several marriage halls, educational institutions, and plazas will be constructed upon it. The participants reviewed at least 22 cases of future construction projects.
The session further approved the construction of 10 marriage halls. These halls will be built on Canal Road, Masjid Ismail Road, Samundari Road, Jhang Road, and other areas. The divisional commissioner directed the owners of these halls to ensure adequate parking space at these venues.

Moreover, the committee also approved the construction of an industry and a college in the Chak 201 area of Saddar.
