Lahore: As many as 11 wind power projects would begin commercial operations by December 2021 as they have obtained their financial closing, a news source reported. These projects are reported have a cumulative capacity of 660 Megawatts (MW).

Wind power projects beginning their commercial operations by end of 2021 include:
- Lakeside Energy Pvt Ltd
- Master Green Energy Ltd
- Liberty Wind Power 1 Pvt Ltd & Liberty Wind Power 2 Pvt Ltd
- Gul Ahmed Electric Ltd
- Indus Wind Energy Ltd
- Tricom Wind Power Pvt Ltd
- Artistic Wind Power Ltd
- ACT2 Wind Pvt Ltd
- Masda Green Energy Pvt Ltd
- Metro Wind Power Ltd
- DIN Energy Ltd
Apart from the 60 MW Metro Wind Power project, all others have a capacity of 50 MWs each. Officials concerned have revealed that these projects would operate from Jhimpir District Thatta. Another 24 wind power projects – with a cumulative capacity of over 1,200 MWs – have already begun their commercial operations by supplying electricity to the national grid.
