Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has inaugurated the National University of Technology (NUTECH), a news source reported.
The COAS was briefed about the planned academic activities and strategic education plan of the university by the Rector Lieutenant General (r) Khalid Asghar.
The chief appreciated the role and hard work of the NUTECH management for the successful launch of the university – completed within a short span of two years. He advised the management to maintain high standards of education at the university.
The army chief also assured full support to NUTECH in building its future main campus facility. This will be built on the outskirts of Rawalpindi/Islamabad, and will reportedly accommodate 30,000-50,000 students.
The COAS also thanked FWO for its support in establishing the initial campus facility for NUTECH – to be used presently. The current campus is located within the premises of the Construction Technology Training Institute (CTTI) building.
