Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Saturday (October 30) inaugurated the Manora waterfront beach project, news sources reported. The PKR 650 million project was part of the province’s annual development programme (ADP) developed with the sole purpose of Karachi citizens entertainment.

The project, which is being constructed near Manora Beach, spans 7.91 acres and includes a dedicated parking space of one acre as well as 29 gazebos, L-shaped seats, and tables. CM Shah also stated that the government intends to build a jetty at Seaview to launch a ferry service between Clifton and the newly constructed beach. The initiative would boost the city’s tourism and entertainment sectors.

He further stated that Karachi is a beach city, with people of all social groups and backgrounds flocking to the beaches for pleasure and relaxation. So far, Karachi has only had a few leisure areas, all of which have extremely limited municipal services and development.
