Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah on Friday provided his approval to the construction of a 12-kilometre link road in Korangi, in addition to finalising the second week of November for inaugurating the 39-kilometre Malir Expressway, a news source reported.

He made the decisions during a meeting held to review the progress of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects. According to the details revealed, the link road in Korangi will begin from Creek Avenue-Korangi Causeway Intersection and will end at the PAF Airmen Golf Club.

The four-lane Malir Expressway will be constructed along the Malir Canal. The project is estimated to be completed in 36 months, but the CM has issued instruction to complete the scheme within the next two years. The project will also feature three flyovers and eight underpasses.
