Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Jam Kamal Khan Alyani presided over a meeting to discuss the progress of ongoing and new development projects under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP), according to news published on Tuesday (September 14).

Additional Chief Secretary of Planning and Development Shahab Ali Shah informed the meeting that the development programme for the existing fiscal year includes 2,131 schemes of Development Sub-committee (DSC), 155 schemes of Provincial Development Working Party’s (PDWP), and 1,731 other projects.
Moreover, the additional chief secretary disclosed that there was a total of 859 development schemes, which included 235 new schemes and 158 ongoing projects. Besides this, the attendees were informed about the development projects to be completed this year, issuance of tenders, and authorisation of projects.

CM Kamal, while speaking at the meeting, ordered the departments to speed up the process of approval of DSC and PDWP projects. In addition, the chief minister directed the concerned officials to form an integrated strategy for the department of building and road performance evaluation to regulate the performance of contractors working on development projects.
