Lahore: The Punjab government has decided to construct rural roads in the home district of the Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar at the cost of PKR 832 million, a news source reported. The DG Khan Highway Division executive engineer issued a notice for the prequalification of firms for the construction of 23 kilometres of metalled road from Kharar Buzdar to Hingloon Katch (Peer Ghnun).
Two other strips of road, one measuring 29.4 kilometres, and the other measuring 16.6 kilometres from Surthok to Theekar passing through Gata Rekih are also going to be constructed. The strips of road would be worth PKR 259 million, PKR 340 million, and PKR 233.77 million respectively.
The tenders for this road have to be submitted by October 20. Contractors having experience of handling projects worth PKR 200 million and above in the tribal area of DG Khan and Rajanpur districts would be considered for the job.
