Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar on Monday inaugurated the ‘Insaf Imdad Scheme’ in the Nankana Sahib District, and also reviewed the scheme formulated to distribute aid in a local government school, a news source reported.

As per the publication, CM Buzdar reiterated the Punjab government’s commitment to helping vulnerable families and said that PKR 12,000 per family would be disbursed among 2.5 million families across the province. He said that the disbursement of relief funds would be conducted with transparency and fairness.

CM Buzdar also visited a 100-beds field hospital, which was established inside a gymnasium, and observed the protocols set up for COVID-19 patients. He was informed that field hospitals had also been set up in Shah Kot and Sangla Hill — with each having a 30-beds capacity. He lauded the efforts of Nankana Sahib Deputy Commissioner (DC) against the spread of coronavirus. CM Buzdar further said that certain businesses had been allowed to operate under standard operating procedures (SOPs); however, he warned that there would be consequences for people caught defying and violating the SOPs issued by the government.
