Lahore: To sort traffic issues on Firdous Market’s Signal, the remodelling plan for Firdous Market has been approved, according to a news source. The Punjab Chief Minister (CM), Shahbaz Sharif, has formally approved the construction of a flyover, which was proposed by the Lahore Development Authority (LDA).
According to the plan, a single-vehicle flyover will be constructed for traffic heading to Cavalry Road from Centre Point, while traffic heading to Centre Point and Kalma Chowk from Cavalry Road will have a signal-free route. There will be a signal for traffic heading to Hussain Chowk from Cavalry.
According to the initial plan, no land acquisition will be required for the construction of a single-vehicle flyover. With approval granted for the project, tenders will be invited from the interested firms for prequalification by January 20, 2018.
