Peshawar: Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan has stated that the government will widen roads in Peshawar to enhance tourism, a news source reported. The CM is looking forward to acquire land so roads can be widened successfully and the province can be made fit for attracting tourists.
The CM and other officials present at the meeting were informed about the plan for the road projects. This included both rural and farm to market roads. Information regarding the rehabilitation and reconstruction of 1,000 KM of different roads in the province was also shared.

Khan also discussed the cost estimation for the projects. The Asian Development Bank will be assisting with the pre-feasibility and full feasibility processes during the first phase. The CM has urged to clear these projects soon for the Provincial Development Working Party in order to facilitate communication with the Central Development Working Party.
This project will be for the betterment of the socioeconomic life in rural areas as well as for better access to markets for growers and traders.
