Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Jam Kamal Khan has ordered all provincial departments to play their part in completing the uplift schemes announced for the province, by their expected deadlines (anticipated to be the end of the current fiscal year), a news source reported. The CM gave these orders while chairing a meeting comprising of officials from various government departments, and added that the completion of these tasks was of the utmost importance to provide relief for the locals of Balochistan.

Khan directed the Planning and Development department to provide assistance to all other departments to ensure the timely completion of the projects under discussion. In particular, he stressed on the speedy completion of the Turbat-Pasni expressway, which comes under the government’s overall efforts to improve road infrastructure in the province.
Furthermore, Planning and Development Additional Chief Secretary Abdul Rehman Buzdar, along with Finance Secretary Noorul Haq Baloch, briefed the members of the meeting about all ongoing projects and the progress of the work being done on them.

Buzdar informed the CM that a total of 1,781 new projects had been included on the agenda for the current fiscal year. He further revealed that the work on 665 of these schemes was underway and that the Planning and Development department was closely monitoring their progress.
