Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar has directed the authorities concerned to identify land for the establishment of new parking plazas in Lahore — with the initiative aimed at resolving the various traffic issues facing the provincial capital, according to news sources.

The provincial government is planning to develop the new parking plazas in Lahore with assistance from the local business and trade community. The government will also review some proposals for new parking plazas that have already been submitted to the authorities concerned.

Reportedly, the sites being considered for these plazas are located in the well-frequented areas of Shah Alam Market, Rang Mahal, Gulberg, Urdu Bazaar and Main Market of Lahore. The government is also planning to operationalize a committee under the leadership of the Commissioner Lahore Division, while also including the trade representatives as committee members.
