Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan has asked for the 28-km Khwazakhela-Besham Expressway feasibility report, according to media reports.

In a telephonic conversation with the Labor and Culture minister Shaukat Yousafzai, CM said that the work on the expressway will continue according to the feasibility report. During the conversation, they discussed the development schemes and problems faced by residents of the Shangla district.
He also ordered that the feasibility report should be planned keeping the mobility challenges of the residents in mind.
Moreover, the CM reiterated that the project is crucial for the sustainable development of the region. He directed the concerned departments to invite tender bids for the construction of bridges on Swat-Kalam roads and commence the work as soon as possible.

CM added that the government plans on creating employment opportunities for the youth by promoting tourism in the district and by increasing the minimum wage of the labourers. Also, he shed light on government plans to bring less developed areas at par with the developed cities.
