Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Mohsin Naqvi has granted approval for an extensive road rehabilitation and expansion initiative, covering a total of 2600-kilometers across the province, as claimed by a news source on December 21.

As per the provided information, in a specially convened meeting presided over by CM Naqvi, a detailed report on the road improvement project was presented. A comprehensive plan is set to enhance and construct 105 roads in various districts, elevating them to the highest standards.
During the meeting, C&W Secretary Suhail Anwar provided an update on the progress of ongoing road construction and improvement efforts. The briefing revealed that 104 road projects were actively underway, with an anticipated completion within the next year.
The meeting disclosed that an estimated cost of PKR 150 billion would be allocated for the construction, expansion, and improvement of 104 roads across the province. To ensure construction quality, dedicated monitoring committees are operational in every district and division.

Additional details shared in the briefing included the successful completion of 9 major road projects in various Punjab districts and substantial progress on 33 highways in diverse regions.
