Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz emphasised the urgent need for timely completion of development projects during a recent Planning and Development Board meeting, according to a news source on June 28.
As per the details, she chaired the session to review each project under the Annual Development Program 2024-25. CM Maryam instructed the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) to establish a real-time monitoring dashboard for all projects and mandated that Project Concept Papers (PC-Is) for all schemes be submitted by July 15.
During a briefing, CM Maryam set an August 13 deadline to commence construction on the 189 km Chicha Watni-Layyah road and the 93 km Multan-Vihari road. She was informed that the construction of the Sahiwal-Saharani and Bahawalnagar-Jhangra East Interchange roads would also begin by August 13. Additionally, she was apprised that the construction of the Faisalabad-Chiniot-Sargodha Road would start on July 31.
Key officials and ministers attended the session, underscoring the government’s commitment to project oversight and timely delivery.
