Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Jam Kamal Khan has called for Quetta’s urban planning, a news source reported. While talking to the media, the CM stressed on restoring the city to its past glory.
Kamal Khan stated that Quetta has never had a proper master plan. It is time that the city progresses towards urban development, he added. He also cited the cabinet’s recent decision on reviving the building code and the initiation of the Quetta Safe City project.

The CM briefed the media that the provincial government has been making efforts to improve health, education, law and order, and sanitation in Quetta. In fact, similar measures are being planned for the entire province.
Kamal Khan assured the Quetta Metropolitan Corporation (QMC) about resolving its legal issues. This will improve the service delivery of the civic body. The enhanced service delivery is required for making QMC a fully functional institution, he added.
