Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Jam Kamal Khan called for the equal allocation of development projects across the province, a news source reported. He directed the provincial departments to ensure the equal distribution of these projects in all districts in the next financial budget. He also asked for the preparation of data profiles of all districts.

CM Kamal chaired the weekly review meeting for the development affairs. He stressed on the need to collect authentic and valid data for the development of comprehensive profiles of the districts. He added that these profiles must contain relevant information on public sector issues, including those related to educational and health facilities.
The CM stated that provincial departments can improve performance by developing their capacity. He added that the government is working to transfer more authority to district level. This way more relief will be available at grassroots level, he told.

CM Kamal also said that commissioners, deputy commissioners, and district officers had important responsibilities of adequate utilisation of available funds, and better planning at the district level.
During the meeting, the secretaries of all provincial departmnets briefed about the performance of their respective departmnets. The meeting’s participants also took major decisions related to the district development programme.
