Lahore: Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar has issued directions to complete the work on the Orange Line Metro Train (OLMT) project on time, a news source reported. He instructed the officials concerned to expedite work on Orange Line Train Project while keeping all the problems being faced by the people under focus.
The CM also visited the Orange Line Train depot at Dera Gujran. He was briefed about the progress made on the project so far. The CM also inspected the train and said that in the light of the court’s directions, timely completion of the project should be ensured.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that public welfare project would be stopped.
He was also briefed that 92 percent work on the project has been completed and 1,000 passengers could travel in one set of Orange Line Train.
After the completion of civil works, Chinese contractor will complete electrical and mechanical works as soon as possible.
Later, the minister also visited Shalimar Station and inspected its various sections. He was briefed about the work carried out there.
