According to the project’s approved design, the three-lane one-way flyover is 600 metres long and can handle 120,000 vehicles daily. The project links Multan Road, Jubilee Town, and Canal Road traffic. The project received a PKR 4.989 billion budget and was scheduled to be completed in March.
To meet the increased traffic during Eid days, the much-delayed flyover project was planned to open for traffic in March, just before Eid-ul-Adha. However, the project was delayed by seven months due to increased building costs over time. Following finishing touches and beautification, the bridge is now ready to be used.

It is worth noting that the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has sought massive funds to construct flyovers, signal-free corridors, and underpasses in the busiest areas to address the city’s growing traffic problems. The projects are scheduled to begin during the current development year.
