Lahore: The scope of the Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) will be expanded to other districts of the province, a news source quoted Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar as saying. The CM has stated that many districts contain historical buildings that can be restored to their original shape.

He shared these views while chairing a meeting where he reviewed the performance of WCLA. He also evaluated the ongoing renovation work at the mausoleum of Mir Chakar Azam Rind in Okara.
CM Buzdar said that the restoration of the historical sites will beautify the cities. He added that the unique historical structures belonging to different areas of the province can help boost tourism.
Discussing the restoration work on the mausoleum, he said that the road link leading towards the tomb will reach completion soon. He added that this ongoing work is an expression of the centre’s unity with Balochistan, and that the government would fully support WCLA in this regard.

CM Buzdar also stressed that the incumbent government is working towards improving the country’s development sector.
