Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has announced that the Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar today (April 20) will execute the balloting for the allocation of 2,000 LDA City Naya Pakistan Apartments to the existing government employees, according to authority’s official Facebook page.

Reportedly, as many as 13,277 applications have been submitted for these apartments. Those applicants who win in the balloting today are requested to contact Bank of Punjab (BoP) and its designated banks for obtaining the ‘letter of comfort’.
These apartments are part of the 4,000 units being developed in the first phase of 35,000 LDA City Naya Pakistan Apartments announced by the government.
Recently, applications were invited from government employees – with monthly income of PKR 50,000 after deductions – to avail these apartments that will cost PKR 2.7 million. Those allotted who wish for additional subsidy can apply to Naya Pakistan Housing & Development Authority (NAPHDA).

Those applicants who get this NAPHDA subsidy will be liable to pay 10% down payment, while the remaining applicants will have to pay 21% down payment. The remaining amount for the apartments will be payable in monthly instalments after the possession.
