Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar recently inaugurated the ‘Tourism Punjab Application’ and the ‘DTS System Application’ to mark the World Tourism Day – celebrated every year on September 27, according to news sources.

CM Buzdar said that the utility was designed to provide information about as many as 511 tourist spots in the province. He further stated that this application would help citizens acquire online information and services related to tourism in Punjab; adding that the facility was currently available for download at the Google Play Store platform.

Moreover, this application will help provide routes for various tourist destinations as well as provide a list of services offered by the Tourism Development Corporation Punjab (TDCP). He also revealed that TDCP hotels could now be booked online. Buzdar issued directions to incorporate e-payment facility in the application to offer further assistance to citizens.
As for the DTS System App, it has been introduced for the tour operators. This application has automated the tour operators’ affairs and will facilitate them in getting online registration.
