Dera Ghazi Khan: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Khan Buzdar has inaugurated 24 development projects worth PKR 2.5 billion in tehsils of Koh-e-Sulaiman and Taunsa of Dera Ghazi Khan (DGK) district, according to news sources.

CM Buzdar inaugurated Shah Suleiman Stadium, Sports Gymnasium and Panahgah. During his visit to DGK, he officiated Rescue1122 centres for Fazila Kach and Barthi, Border Military Police Station for Hangloon Kuchh, Fazila Kach, Mubarki and Barthi. Moreover, he also inaugurated road projects from Kalma Chowk to Sanghar and Mohalla Sheikhanwala, from Indus Highway to Basti Hadmar and Basti Bait Ashraf Road. The CM also announced setting up a university at Taunsa worth PKR 2 billion.
Furthermore, several other projects were also launched including Kamal Park, City Park and Food Godown Park, installation of tuff tiles project in Union Council Boher, Makwal. Other projects included a sewerage and tuff tiles project in Kharar Buzdar Union Council Mubaraki, a road at Fazila Kach Dostlani Market and sewerage and tuff tiles for Sardar Kalat Union Council Barthi. Moreover, CM Buzdar also launched mines and minerals dispensaries at Daaher, Gulki and Salaar Band. The chief minister launched projects of a rest house in Taunsa and a social security hospital in Chowkiwala.
The CM also laid the foundation stone of a 17-kilometre dual carriageway from Chowki Wala and 5km long Indus High School Road from Indus Highway Kot Mor to Tain via Basti Laghari-Jarlagari road, from Indus Highway Naari South to Langerwali Road. He also said that a livestock farm will be set up and work on installing street lights as well as 107 power supply schemes will be completed soon.
CM Buzdar announced that Sangher Bridge project worth PKR 580 million has also been approved while the contract for Lalu Daira Shah embankment worth PKR 11 billion has been awarded to a company. He also announced a new cement factory in Shadan Lund, and added that the dualization of Mangrotha to Saakar road has been approved at a cost of PKR 370 million.

The CM said the project of Shorkot-Layyah-Taunsa-Chowkiwala-Barthi-Chhapar-Balochistan road is being reviewed and it would cost PKR 29 billion while a 132KW grid is also being set up in Barthi. He added that the Indus Highway road from Ramak to Kashmoor would be repaired, a library will also be set up in Taunsa city, whereas 43 kanals of land has been allotted for the welfare projects besides the beatification of Taunsa.
In Phagla – a locality of DG Khan – CM Buzdar launched many projects, including the construction of 48km long road from Mithwaan to Chaterotaat at a cost of PKR 390 million and the phase-1 of 21km long Koher to Phula road at a sum of PKR 350 million.
Similarly, in Vahua, another locality of DG Khan, he inaugurated various public welfare projects, including a Rescue1122 centre and police station, and road projects costing PKR 120 million and laid the foundation stone of 12 development schemes worth over PKR 1 billion. He also laid the foundation stone of the Mithaywali water supply scheme and a family park here, along with KungNullah Project and Cricket Stadium at Kot Qaisrani.
Moreover, he handed over a school bus and Rescue1122 ambulance to the Balochistan government as a gift from Punjab.
