Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan on Tuesday was briefed on the Peshawar Revival Plan’s progress, according to media reports. CM ordered the Peshawar commissioner to oversee the project and submit a report after every 15 days.

The meeting was attended by the Focal Person to the Chief Minister for Peshawar Revival Plan Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Asif Khan, relevant officials, and administrative secretaries.
As per the details shared, it was reported that the work is underway in seven areas including plantation, beautification, the flow of traffic, and removing encroachments. The attendees of the meeting were informed that 203-kanal state land had been recovered and walk chalking from walls were cleared. Moreover, 23 different operations were carried out in the Karkhano market. Under the operations, more than 1,900 encroachments were removed which included 603 land carts, 750 cabins, and 550 shops.

Additionally, beautification work is in the progress of the central median from Motorway Toll Plaza to Pir Zakori flyover. LED lights are being fixed on the electric poles on the Ring Road. During the meeting, the chief minister ordered the departments concerned to speed up the pace of the work on the Peshawar Revival Plan.
