Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo on Monday (November 01) urged the federal government to allocate more funds for the province under National Finance Commission (NFC), news sources reported. He said the increase in NFC should not only be based on the population size but the size of the province and factors including growth and development requirements.

He also reiterated his resolve to bring development in the various provincial sectors including infrastructure development, resources and mineral exploitation and better use of the funds for the betterment of the people of the province. Speaking with a representative of National and Provincial Assemblies members, the chief minister stated that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has instructed that the South Balochistan Development Plan be executed as soon as possible.

Moreover, he said that the administration is taking every possible effort to develop the province’s remote areas in order to improve socio-economic indicators and provide prosperity to the people of Balochistan. He said that help from the federal government is crucial in securing the future of the province.
