Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Mir Abdul Qudus Bizenjo on Monday (December 06) approved the transfer of PKR 183 billion to the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) for road and dam projects in the province, news sources reported.

The project comprises the building of five roads and a dam in the districts of Awaran and Panjgur. According to the report, Mir Bizenjo approved the formation of new subdivisions and tehsils in various sections of the province during his first cabinet meeting after taking office.

In addition, the cabinet approved the use of an electronic bidding system to make the bidding process more transparent through the use of technology. The cabinet adopted a modification to the Balochistan Public Procurement Act 2009 as part of this incentive. Similarly, the cabinet adopted the Balochistan Letter of Administration and Succession Bill 2021, which authorises the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) to issue a succession certificate in the event of a person’s death.
