Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi announced the launch of the second phase of the Lahore Press Club Housing Scheme, according to news published on December 1.

The CM chaired the 10th meeting of the Punjab Journalist Housing Foundation Board at his official residence. The minister informed that the land will be awarded in the Tehsil Cantt, where 500 kanals will be reserved for 5-marla plots in the Ashiana Housing Scheme.

During the meeting, CM Elahi disclosed that the illegally allotted 15 plots in Block B were cancelled and the plots will be allotted in a transparent manner to the rightful owners of Block B. The minister directed the police to evict the illegal occupants from Block B of Press Club Housing Schemes and the affectees will be given their right. Additionally, the minister called a meeting to address the problems of the Block B affectees.
