Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar on Sunday (March 6), at a public meeting in Mailsi, announced several mega projects for Vehari, according to media reports. The projects include a bypass in Burewala city, a university in Vehari, and a sports stadium in Mailsi.

As per the details, the minister announced that the construction and expansion of Multan-Vehari Road will start by May this year. During the public meeting, CM Buzdar informed that a university will be established in Vehari to provide quality education. He further added that the government will develop the Burewala bypass in order to make the commute easy for the locals.

Moreover, a state-of-the-art stadium will be set up for the provision of sports facilities and opportunities to the youth in Mailsi. He highlighted that 35% of development funds have been reserved for South Punjab. Sharing details about the Sehat Card, the minister stated that health cards have been issued for the Multan division and will be available for all individuals by the end of this month.
