Faisalabad: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar on Wednesday announced his government’s plans to execute 500 development projects worth PKR 151 billion for the Faisalabad division, a news source reported. He expressed his views on the matter during a visit to the city. Governor Mohammad Sarwar was also present at the occasion.

On the instructions of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the CM has begun his visits of divisional headquarters in the province. He also laid the foundation stone of seven mega-projects for Faisalabad.
These uplift schemes include the construction of wastewater treatment plant which would be completed in three years at a cost of PKR 19.33 billion, dualisation of a link road from Khurianwala to Sahianwala interchange, construction of a sewerage system, construction of a trauma center and upgradation of the Dijkot rural health center to the level of THQ hospital, upgradation of operation theatres of the Allied Hospital’s emergency ward, construction of the regional training institute of Population Welfare Department, and provision of latest equipment to the Faisalabad Institute of Cardiology.

Moreover, CM Buzdar and Governor Sarwar held a meeting with the local parliamentarians and discussed several issues.
