Dera Ghazi Khan: The Dera Ghazi Khan Municipal Corporation has launched the Clean DG Khan drive with the collaboration of the civil society, students, scouts and residents of the city – a news source reported.
Chief Minister Usman Khan Buzdar has provided machinery, along with teams of water and sanitation agencies belonging to different cities, to help out the local authorities. According to Municipal Corporation Chief Officer Khan Iqbal Farid, the public response to the initiative was phenomenal.

He said that Additional Commissioner Azfar Zia was steering the campaign, and as a part of the first phase of the drive, garbage was picked from major markets of the city.
In its second phase, “Ab Chamkay Ga DG Khan”, the volunteers will collect garbage from Sarafa and Rani bazaars.
Speaking on the occasion, Commisioner Mudasar Malik said that public cooperation meant that the initiative would succeed. He added that the continuous participation of people from all walks of life would also be appreciated.
