Quetta: The Balochistan government has introduced an environmental initiative in collaboration with the federal government – a news source reported.
The Environmental Protection Agency has decided to plant 68,000 saplings across the province. The project will be completed at a cost of PKR 100 million.

The saplings will be planted in areas including Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah and Panjgur. The government anticipates revenue of PKR 50 million within two years of the plantation drive.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan will launch a countrywide tree plantation campaign on February 11. The government will plant at least 142 million saplings under its Green Pakistan Programme during the spring season.

The executive hopes to plant 12 million trees each in Punjab and Sindh, 100 million in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, 1.2 million in Balochistan, 4.8 million in Azad Kashmir, and seven million in Gilgit-Baltistan.
