Peshawar: To monitor the progress of Clean and Green drive in the province, the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has launched Clean & Green App, reported a news source. The app will reinforce the efforts for resolving governance-related and environmental issues regarding the campaign, said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan.
During the launch ceremony of the app held at the CM’s House, Khan stated that the use of modern technology will streamline the process of decision-making and also eradicate irregularities. He further added that the governance system needs to be along modern lines, for which utilisation of advanced technology is significant.
The application is particularly aimed at involving the general public in the ongoing activities for Prime Minister’s Clean and Green Pakistan Project. CM’s special assistant for Science and Information Technology Kamran Bangash stated that the public will be able to share their role in the campaign with the government through the application. This will help the government retrieve live information about the public’s activities for the campaign.
