Mingora: A civil defence organisation has announced its intent to perform a number of voluntary services to serve locals and tourists during the Eid holidays, according to a news source. The head of this civil defence organisation Mohammad Ilyas, made this announcement at the organisation’s latest Swat district meeting.

As thousands of visitors are expected in the district in these holidays, the organisation will ensure that vehicular traffic moves smoothly. Ilyas revealed that over 300 volunteers will be deployed, and a comprehensive traffic plan has already been prepared with the cooperation of the traffic police.

These volunteers will also create awareness about cleanliness, ethical tourism, and will distribute pamphlets about keeping tourist areas neat and clean. Ilyas also stated that each post warden has provided over 15 volunteers who would work with the traffic police to keep the vehicular traffic moving smoothly. These volunteers would also guide tourists with all their queries.
