Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Minister for Health and Finance Taimur Khan Jhagra on Monday directed the Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) to immediately address and fix the civic issues faced by the residents of Regi Model Town and Hayatabad, a news source reported. The minister issued these orders while presiding over a meeting held at the PDA office.

As per reports, the meeting was attended by senior officials representing the PDA, among others from related departments, and residents of the two societies. The meeting was told that the residents of Hayatabad demanded for the development of a community centre in each of the society’s phases and also demanded establishing of more Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) terminals.
Addressing the meeting members, Jhagra asked the departments concerned to find an alternative route for heavy traffic passing through Hayatabad and issued directives to solve the sewerage system problems in the Regi Model Town area.

Furthermore, the minister also took notice of the inactive water filtration plants in Hayatabad and asked the officials concerned to fix the existing plants and install additional ones to allow uninterrupted supply of potable water to the residents.
