Islamabad: The federal government declared that Sales Tax would not be applicable for goods manufactured in the districts of Chitral, Dir, and Swat, according to a news report. This declaration is applicable for industrial units set up on or before 30th May, 2018.
According to a notification shared for the purpose, under the 25th Amendment Act 2018 by the President of Pakistan, this amendment would be implemented once it was fully ratified and confirmed. The notification further stated that all Sales Tax for goods manufactured by the abovementioned industrial units shall be exempted, and no tax adjustments would be allowed.
