Karachi: Chinese Prime minister Li Qiang is anticipated to officially inaugurate operations at the Gwadar International Airport in Balochistan during his visit from October 14 to 17, as confirmed by Information Minister Attaullah Tarar.

As per detail, Li’s visit coincides with the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) meeting scheduled for October 15 and 16 in Islamabad, which will gather representatives from nine member countries, including China, India, Iran, and Russia. The Gwadar International Airport aims to facilitate both domestic and international flights and is set to become one of Pakistan’s largest airports, according to the Civil Aviation Authority.
