Islamabad: A Chinese military medical team of 10 members, led by Major General Huang Qingzhen, visited the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Tuesday, a news source reported.

The team was briefed about Pakistan’s strategy and efforts against the COVID-19 pandemic and future course of action. The Pakistani officials also briefed the Chinese team about the ‘Test, Trace, and Quarantine’ (TTQ) strategy and the containment efforts, including the scope of lockdown against COVID-19.

The Chinese team shared its procedures for early identification, isolation, and treatment, which enabled China to check the spread of the coronavirus. The team lauded the NCOC for making the scientific approach and advice of health experts as part of the country’s efforts against COVID-19.

Previously, China donated 40 ventilators along with personal protective equipment (PPE) and testing kits to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) as part of the assistance to help Pakistan combat the COVID-19.
